In 2006, the family started to recognize signs of dementia and Victor was soon diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Today, Victor is survived by his wife of 42 years, his son Rowan, his daughters Sharon and Sandra, and more extended family members than he ever dreamed possible as a young boy in Jamaica. He will always be remembered and greatly missed by his wife, 3 children, 6 grandchildren (Ashley, Rhea, Bryce, Devan, Jonathan, and Victoria), and in-laws (Jon Mayo, Stacia Richards, and Dale Caldwell). No words can truly encompass the totality of his life. He left an indelible print on this world and in the hearts of those who knew him best. His message of hope, example of courage, and gift of compassion will be most treasured. A man of enduring faith, he lived the message of Philippians 3:14, “pressing on toward the goal to win the prize for which God [had] called [him] heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
