Start of a New Life

After several failed attempts to emigrate, Victor finally arrived in New York in 1967. Shortly thereafter, he returned to Jamaica for a brief period. It was during this time that he met his future wife, Zoie James, a beautiful young woman from the parish of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. The two married in December 1968 and set out to begin a new life in the United States, a place that offered hope and opportunity. Together, they created a home, a family, a business, and legacy that will endure forever. They lived in New York for 11 years before moving to Bloomfield, New Jersey. Victor worked in New York and New Jersey as an electrical contractor for nearly 30 years.
